30 kg down: how a young mother of two completely changed her life
At the age of 29, a young mother of two decided to completely change her life. She went from despair—no longer recognising herself in the mirror and avoiding leaving the house—to losing 30 kilograms and regaining the confidence she thought she would never feel again.
Her story is one of willpower, courage, and support.
Life before the transformation
She is 29 years old and has two children, aged seven and three. Her weight problems began during her first pregnancy. She weighed 65 kg at the time but gained another 30 kg within a few months. After giving birth, she managed to lose some weight, but the kilograms gradually returned.
During her second pregnancy, the situation became more difficult. She started at 95 kg, and after giving birth and breastfeeding, her weight reached 107.4 kg—the highest it had ever been.
I was desperate and emotionally at rock bottom. I could no longer accept myself. I avoided mirrors and did not want to leave the house. It felt as though I was destroying myself.
Her entire life revolved around her family and children, leaving no time or energy for herself. Even shopping for clothes became painful: the sizes she needed were unavailable, she had to order everything online, and the mirror became her greatest enemy.
The turning point
Kilogram by kilogram, she increasingly felt like a prisoner in her own body.
Sometimes she ate in secret so that no one would see how much she was actually eating. Her plates were always full, and eating became a distressing experience.
The hardest part came after eating. My stomach was so full that I could barely breathe. I kept asking myself, “Why am I doing this?”—but I could not find the strength to change anything.
That was when she realised she could not do it alone and needed help.
Discovering the DIKETO course
She discovered the DIKETO program through Instagram. At first, she tried to understand everything on her own and read articles about the keto diet on Google. However, there was too much information, and much of it was contradictory.
She realised that she needed someone who could explain everything step by step, answer her questions, and provide a clear meal plan.
I watched Svetlana’s videos and realised it would be better to follow the course with guidance. She had been through the same experience as me, and that made me trust her.
What kept her in the program was the combination of a delicious and varied meal plan, ongoing support from the course mentors, and Svetlana’s honesty. Svetlana knows firsthand what it means to struggle with excess weight.
She says that DIKETO was much simpler and more comfortable than a traditional keto diet—without strict restrictions or stress, but with real results. It is not a rigid diet but a balanced way of life.
The first changes
Within the first few weeks, she already noticed a difference: thoughts about food no longer controlled her day.
I used to spend the afternoon thinking about what I would eat that evening. Now, for the first time, I eat only when I am genuinely hungry.
Her relationship with food changed completely:
I eat when I am hungry, not to fill an emotional emptiness.
She gained more energy for walks, playing with her children, and shopping—without the exhaustion she had experienced before.
Most importantly, she began to enjoy looking at herself in the mirror again.
The transformation
She started the course in March at 104.6 kg. She now weighs 76.5 kg—almost 30 kilograms down!
Her goal is 60 kg. By her 30th birthday on 16 December, she wants to fully rediscover the confident and beautiful woman she has always dreamed of becoming.
Now I enjoy looking at myself in the mirror. I choose clothes not to hide my body but to feel good about myself. I am happy to have people around me who support and admire me.
Her husband and friends compliment her, while her children are happy to see their mother active, smiling, and full of energy.
The lessons she learned
Along the way, she discovered more than a way to lose weight—she discovered a new way of life:
to eat mindfully and only when she feels hungry;
not to allow food to become the centre of her life;
to put her health first.
The ongoing support of the course mentors and community played a crucial role.
Whenever I felt like giving up, someone was always there to remind me that one step backwards is not the end. The most important thing is to keep going.
A message to other women
Today, she looks back on her past with gratitude.
Anything is possible. Everything depends on you and your desire to change. It will be difficult, but you can do it. And you deserve to be proud of yourself for it.
To those who are still uncertain, she offers a simple message:
You do not find time—you create it. And you deserve to put yourself first.
Her story is not simply about the kilograms she lost. It is a story about finding the courage to say “Stop,” choosing a new life, enjoying her reflection again, and regaining her confidence.
At the age of 29 and with two children, she proved that change is always possible.
With determination, support, and the right approach, even the most difficult journey becomes achievable.
